Camp Pack Forest in Warrensburg, NY is looking for a Health Director for this summer! Camp Pack Forest is one of four overnight environmental education summer camp run by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. Camp Health Directors are responsible for the health and wellbeing of 15 staff and 50 campers on a 24-hour basis.
This is a unique opportunity to work at a rustic and beautiful summer camp in the Southern Adirondacks. Our popular and engaging programs draw 11–17-year-old youth from across NYS for life changing experiences in the outdoors. The camp season runs from June 3 through August 116th and the work week is from Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon.
Camp Health Directors earn $24.11/hour for 40 hours a week ($10,925 for the 11 week season), plus room and board. The Health Director must be a NYS certified EMT, Paramedic, LPN, RN, PA or MD. This is a state position and staff have the option to join the PEF union (which offers tuition reimbursement) and the NYS retirement fund. For the right candidate, this can be a reoccurring summer position for several years.
